
CLARET, France - Nov. 5, 2008 - NETIA today announced the appointment of Scott Slocum as manager of sales for North America. Slocum has been involved in the television and radio broadcast industry for more than 30 years. In his new position with NETIA, Slocum will leverage his extensive experience to expand the company's presence in the United States and Canada, enhance its involvement with key market partners and projects, and ensure quality of service and support for new and existing customers.

Prior to joining NETIA, Slocum most recently served as the manager of TurnKey Media Systems, a company specializing in marketing software and hardware products for broadcast and Internet channels. In this role he was responsible for sales and marketing efforts across the United States. Slocum earlier oversaw regional sales for OMT Technologies, a Canadian vendor of broadcast software and hardware, and for Computer Concepts Corporation. He has been employed as national sales manager for Radio magazine, and has managed media operations across the United States, including ownership of a facility in Virginia.
Slocum is an RAB Certified Radio Marketing Consultant and holder of an Amateur Extra Class radio license.
